Grateful Sunday

Today I am grateful for:
1. My GENIOUS of a husband.
He wanted to do things that were a little more fun and exciting, but this weekend he spent time fixing my virus/spy-ware filled computer, gave me a new hard drive, put in a new cpu in the kids' computer... ya, it is nice to have my own in-house computer man.

2. All the fun we had this weekend... Aaron's football game, lunar mini-golf, a really fun date night iron chef party... it was a perfect weekend!
Here's Nate at Aaron's game: Aaron lookin good - he really has fun out there, and we LOVE watching him do so well on the field!
Here's Aaron and Charity at the mini-golf place...
3. Where I live. There was an airshow this weekend, but Charity is SOOO afraid of the loud jets (she is scared of everything) I had to stay home. HOWEVER, we live so close to the airfield, I was still able to catch the BLUE ANGELS flying overhead (seriously, they were RIGHT on top of us... it was neat) so, although I missed out, I dont really feel like i did.
Here is Aaron enjoying the airshow...
Here are some pics I got from my front yard... see - i didnt miss much at all!!!

4. My husband's awesome attitude. Aaron's football game was sortof a disaster - a kid got thrown out for punching, parents (on both sides) were yelling at the refs and the league commissioners - it was CRAZY (i mean, typical 6 yr old flag football?) but Joe didnt get involved and he had a cool head...
Joe kickin' it on the sidelines...

5. The Cowboys won!!! although Crayton didnt get me many FF points, Barber looked good, and Dallas' D didn't do too bad... my weekend is great when they dont suck.

Cool! I saw the jets from my house too...I was like "what the___?" & then my neighbor remembered there was an airshow going on! And I'm SE of you...amazing that we could see it way over here!

So happy you had a great weekend!

The airshow was insane this weekend. I can see Cabelas from my street so girl you know it was loud over here. I have lived in the "alliance corridor" as they call us for the past 5 yrs and I still have yet to go to the airshow...mainly cause I get a whole week of it and then I can see it from the house.

Ummmm love the fact that after a hard week you can write down what you are thnakful for and start another rough one.... so inspirational. Stop by anytime!

Clarification on item #1. I only did about half of those tasks Emily listed. And I spent time fixing her problems so she didn't end up using my computer. It's nice to get credit for this typically thankless job.

Aarons game??? The picture should show me about 1/2 asleep as this was the longest game of my life. Ask Emily how much fun she had with Wonder Nate in the bleachers.

I'm off to go polish off that "Pumpkin Cake" Emily whipped together for Iron Chef...

Ok so where's the Iron Chef pics? Charity cracks me up...I thought she'd be over the 'scary' loud noises, oh well.

As for FF my hubby is gonna kick your trash!

Love ya!

I so want to see the Blue Angels! My boys would love it.
And I think it is so great to brag about husbands as much as possible. They do so much and I know I need to let it be known more often than I do. Great post Emily you inspired me today on Your Grateful Sunday.
I love that you made Pumpkin Cake also today. Great yummy minds think alike.

Cool pics of the "Blue Angels". We live out by Luke's Air Force Base so we get all sorts of "jet action". Fun stuff!

Love it Em! You got some great Blue Angel pics. Glad Joe is so cool too. Maybe one day he can come give me some service on my computer :) jk. Funny that Aaron threw some punches. He is pretty tough...

It was an outrage that the irving/arlington cowboys beat my Minnesota Vikings. If it wasn't for poor officiating due to half blind refs Minnesota would have won! I can't wait til they play later on in the year.

BTW, Joe, that was nice of you to fix the computers. I tried that once but the computer and my wall somehow became one.

My neighbor met some of the blue angels while working out at the club at the Speedway. All she could do was drool!

By the way, Parker is so excited to play with Charity on Wednesday. After I told him, he was mad that she wasn't coming right then.

My boys would have loved to see the Blue Angels! I love Joe's comment, it definitely made me laugh! Glad you had a fun weekend!

Great pics. We saw them practicing for that airshow on Friday, it looked amazing. I need to take more time to document gratitude, I don't do it enough (I have too big of a list of annoyances, lol!)

how fun. the show at Ellington field got rained out here. I'm not sure if they flew or not but it seriously rained all weekend. I love the air shows!

What fun! Those were awesome shots you got of the blue angels. Joe is awesome. I think if I had a computer wiz living at my house I might not have spent so many years swearing at my PC's. So far so good with my mac's. I'm a cuss free woman :)

Aaaah, I'm so bummed that I was gone this weekend - I always look forward to the airshow. Luckily we caught them in the afternoons when they were practicing during the week - definitely one of the perks of being right here, huh....I'm with you on that one. We usually get up on our roof, it's awesome - oh well, I'll have to wait 'til next year!
