Harry Potter
Am i the only one who HAD to read this Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows?
Ok, i can get back to reality. i have finished the whole series, and i am very pleased. i was glad that it ended the way i hoped it would. thanks jk rowling for not going crazy and keeping it aimed at children. i was getting worried hearing about all the deaths that were imminent. i kept thinking that it would end up a depressing series... HOWEVER, i guess the whole HARRY POTTER thing was aimed at 5th graders, and so, the way it ended made me very happy. unlike the ending of the book WICKED... (not aimed at 5th graders)
a great site: http://www.mugglenet.com/some people dont like the epilogue at the end? i did... well, i wished it went on a little longer (explaining more about the future) but i am cheesy and LOVE seeing those things! isnt that why i love legally blonde? because at the end we got to see a few years in the future?
Joe liked to laugh at me cause i was reading this book... but i dont think i was crazy. i still did stuff with the kids, and wasnt completely CONSUMED... i mean, (due to trying to better balance my job as a mom) it took me sunday AND monday to read the book... (rather than just 1 day like the previous ones) i am curious what you guys (those who read it and those who didnt) thought?

Em... I am glad you finally finished... NOW you can actually talk when we are on the phone rather than being so preoccupied with getting back to the book... I am glad you enjoied it... As for me... I will wait for the movie and see it with the family... until i find more time in my life (well more than just while i am going to the bathroom) to actually read!
I cheated and looked up the cliffnotes/synopsis on wikipedia. I thought it was a great ending to a great series. JK Rowling is brilliant.
I heard it was great. I know so many people that loved it too. Most of them crazy ;) like you and finishing it in 24 hours!
I love the movies...reading just isn't my thing. I did call around to a few of my friends and they wouldn't talk long because they were still reading. The other thing I thought was funny was all the people who stayed up all night saturday reading and later had a "harry potter hangover". I too read the cliff notes and thought it ended nicely....can't wait for the movie!
I Loved it!! So bitter sweet now that it is over....I'm taking a chance at sounding like the biggest dork ever, but who really cares, right? I am still talking in a british accent to my kids. And jk rowlins IS brilliant. I was so sad about some of the people who died, but it turned out perfectly. i also wish we new more about the future of the potter gang. like what the heck does harry do for a living? stuff like that. i've noticed not that many of my "blogging buddies" are big Harry fans, so I'm glad to see you felt the need to post about it too!! Cheers to Harry!
I'm 1/2 way through so we'll talk when I finish. JK Rowling is AMAZING. What an imagination, no?
I would have to say the book totally consumed me when I sat down to read it over the past 3 days (I must be a better mom than you since it took me an extra day) I guess I do appreciate the epilogue, I had just become content with the possibility of a different ending that right when I finished it seemed cheesey, now I guess I'm happy.
I am two books behind but I will read it and excited to read it! I read them while Mikey was in the hospital to take my mind of things, and I loved them. Now I just need to read the rest!
