new school new house

My kids had their first day of school!
Charity's new teacher is Mrs. Samples
Aaron's new teacher is Mrs. Eggleston
As I took them into the school yesterday, Charity was visibly nervous - looking around and not saying a word. Aaron could have cared less. After school, they seemed very confident and excited. They both had a wonderful 1st day at their new school!
Now, here is a slideshow tour of my new house.
The walls are bare and WHITE. I could use some help coming up with a color to warm the place up a bit. Decorating ideas anyone?

Emily,

Your new home is gorgeous! I am so happy for you and your family. You have so much room. Are you planning on teaching piano still?

Wow! Your house is so beautiful and so BIG! PLenty of space for the kids to run around! ;) As far as decorating ideas...I have none. (I couldn't decorate a home to save my life, honestly, I've lived in my house for 3+yrs and it still looks like I just moved in.)

BEAUTIFUL!!! What a great home! I bet the kids love having all that space. Paint has a lot to do with personal preference...with that said I'll just tell you the color I want to paint my kitchen and living area...It's called Summers Cottage and it is a kind of teal/turqouise/cool blue sort of color. Anyway, I think it looks AWESOME next to the color of wood you have in your kitchen. It's really bright and cheery and reminds me of the beach. That is probably why I love it sooo much! Another color we did in our spec home which is at the other end of the color wheel and into the earth tones is called Blonde. IT is kind of a mustard/yellow but it looks so warm and homie...I just love it, especially in a really big space with tall ceilings. It also goes really good with most any other color so it most likely will match your furniture and blends with a ton of fabrics for curtains. Good luck! I can't wait to see it in person one of these days! Love ya!

Love your new house pics! The store Restoration Hardware has great paint colors. Not that I have used them (my walls are still the builder special flat paint), but the swatches look great. :)

Hey Emily! I'm so happy we're neighbors. Our street needed a cool family move in! I added your blog to my friend's list.

Here's my blog:

In one of my blog posts with the ice cream truck, you can see your moving van in the background. LOL
