Its Sunday
We were an hour late to church today - DAYLIGHT SAVINGS???? was i the only loser who forgot? (perhaps it was a conveniet oversight)
My little bro and sister were supposed to come visit this weekend, but the FREAK snow storm was too much for DFW to deal with, so their flight(S) were cancelled :(
Joe is working in DALLAS today... yes. today. SUNDAY - the day he is supposed to be hangin out being lazy with me!!! :( my sister says i need to be more supportive and not complain. i'm sure he doesnt want to be there either...
This is what my kids have been doing lately. Aaron has gotten better at the guitar. He is so funny about it - and SO competive and serious (where does he get that from?) Charity loves singing... I have so much fun listening to the whole thing. I think it is great - she has to read all the words as they come across the screen - OBVIOUSLY, she likes singing the same song over and over again ("Say it Ain't So" by Weezer)... but it is great reading practice! Sometimes she fails when she tries new songs and Aaron has to "save" her. it is so cute to see them work together to pass the songs!!!
So, if anyone wants to come play rock band with me, we are always ready to play!!!
Things i am grateful for:
1. my husband has a job - and although it sucks that he is gone a lot lately, he takes great care of us... so i can stay home and play with my kids and not worry about much.
2. the time we have together just Joe and i and also with our kids. Fri joe and i went out (even though he just got off a plane and didnt really want to). then yesterday we went swimming with the kiddos at the gym (and joe and i worked out and even went rock climbing!!!) Joe is really good about making the little moments we have together QUALITY!!!
3. my family moving so close by. i dropped in for lunch with my parents today (since joe was gone)- how neat is that!!!
4. being able to play the piano. i was happy to be called in to play for primary today. i love music, and i am glad i am someone people can just tap on the shoulder and ask to fill in last minute. every ward needs a few go-to people.
5. while i am glad i am one of those go-to music people, i am also glad that Licy moved in, so i am not the ONLY one!!! ;)

Thank you for being my go to person for relief society! Now that Licy is here I have tried to give you a break and asked her first! By the way, How are you doing? I haven't talked to you in what seems like months. I hope you are doing great.
Sorry it posted as James. It is me Kiera.
The 2nd Counselor in our bishopric forgot too. Walked up to the stand for the last 10 min of church. So funny. I love all the things you are grateful for. You are one blessed chica.
Glad you had a good Sunday - Ben had to work yesterday too, weird! It was fun to see you in passing in the hall, I miss getting to see all of you since the ward split... :( Have a great week!
Your kids are so cute! You need to videotape them so we can all enjoy their music!
P.S. Someday I will take up my piano lessons again and try to help in the music dept., but I doubt I could save you from being our ward's musical guru!
Look at that clean house! And, Charity is totally reading? Wow! She really does like to sing...she was so intense at the KCS Open House singing program, it was really cute. She was very dramatic about it!
We all appreciate your musical talents at church! If you ever get too busy and need a little break just bring the kids over to our house. Parker would love to have some kids to play with. He and Charity get along really well and he loves to be with everyone.
whoa, I wasn't expecting a post so soon :) I'm glad you guys have some fun entertainment while your hubby is gone. I love it when my kids play so nicely together.
I am so impressed that Charity is reading that well. And I love how her and Aaron work together on the songs. Very sweet.
we forgot about daylight savings luckily (however unfortunate) we don't have church until 1pm so we were reminded by the clocks on our phones changing in plently of time to make it on time
I almost forgot about daylight savings but remembered an hour before we were doing new member visits and baptismal visits for primary. Every person we visited forgot though!! Can't wait to be in AZ were we don't have to mess with this crazy time changing :) Let's work out tomorrow!
Hey go to music girl....I have sung lots of Easter songs and have to sing on Easter.Do you have any suggestions of what to sing?Low voice...powerful song...sac. meeting.I am running out of arrangements.
Emily, I love that you guys are so into music. And your list is perfect. You really do have so many things to be thankful for!
BTW...today I was listening to the radio and "Puttin on the Ritz" by TACO came on and all I could think of was you and I dancing to it while it played on your jute box. Do you remember that? It made me smile!!!
